The real benefits of HANA? What are they?

SAP Expert ran a poll recently where you were asked to vote about the plans of your company / project for HANA use.

It is time now to publish the results. Here they are

As you can see from the diagram, more than a quarter of the voters neither use HANA, nor have any plans to migrate. What is the reason behind it? In my opinion, the reason is “don’t fix what is not broken.” If users are happy with the current system state and performance, why would they want to change something? Especially if this requires significant project resources, both monetary and people, for transition and for further support.

However, other around one half of the voters somehow have plans for HANA migration, while about 15% have fully migrated to HANA solution.
