If you have ever been on SAP labour market, you could notice that there are two types of ads.
Of course, I am well aware of these two types of ads. I have even given you a warning about the possible outcome of these trainings and certifications.
That is why one announcement drew my attention. It came from a recruiting agency in Russia. That’s why it is in Russian, but you can use Google Translate to read it in English.
In short, the recruiting agency offers you a short 3-day training course to prepare you as an accounting business user for a company that runs SAP.
The level of requirements for the training is quite high though – you should have in-depth knowledge of Russian accounting and taxation plus at least 5 years of accounting experience. English skills are also necessary.
But then, the course itself is free! Yes, you read it right – you can make your first steps in the SAP labour market as a business user for free. That can improve your resume and increase the value of your “head” in the eyes of HR in the companies that run SAP.
Of course, I understand that:
[li]3 days is not enough for the in-depth study of SAP even as a business user.[/li]
[li]many companies have bespoke solutions and all of them follow their own business processes and routines.[/li]
[li]additional training will be required for those who graduate from these short courses.[/li]
But appreciate that a recruiting company invests in your(!) personal(!) knowledge helping yourself(!) to sell your(!) head. Isn’t it great?
What do you think about the initiative? Have you heard of similar approach from another company?
